WHO ARE THE 2006 AUSTRALIAN OPEN BETTING FAVOURITES?
Not Lleyton Hewitt, that much is for sure. His record in his home grand slam event is terrible, only once making it past the fourth round in nine attempts. He did make the 2005 Australian Open final, however, but lost to Marat Safin in four sets. Roger Federer looks set to start the 2006 Australian Open as Centrebet's hot favourite as he is unbeatable when the mood takes him. The women's singles is more difficult to predict as there is little to choose between the fairer sex's stars. Alicia Molik, like Hewitt also from Adelaide, is one for which to look out.
