Crewe to beat Gillingham @ 4/5 - Some very impressive home form from Crewe makes them attractive at this price. Gillingham tend to score a few, but also concede plenty, which must be a cause for concern against a team that beat Carlisle 5 - 1 lto.
Chesterfield to beat L. Orient @ 7/4 - Orient have looked a really poor side at this level so far and have conceded 15 goals in their last five games. The last four games have all been against teams in the bottom half of League One. Chesterfield's away form is a bit mixed but the price looks more than fair.
Bristol City to beat Brentford @ 6/4 - City are never a side to have the mortgage on, but they look to have an excellent chance here. They are a better team than their hosts and are in much better form recording 4 wins and a draw in the last 5 games.
Secondly, gone for a treble on the international matches with Lithuania (should be several levels above a Faroe Islands side specialising in 6 - 0 defeats), Finland ( have a good record against Armenia, and 4 points against Poland and Portugal reads well in this context) and Italy (Ukrainian clubs have struggled in Europe, and the Italians will have their WC quarter final victory over these opponents fresh in the mind. After a poor start to the campaign, the Azzuri need to win this one). The treble pays a shade over 2/1 with Betfred.
Finally, 3 singles to finish off with:-
N. Forest v Scunthorpe - An away trip to the City Ground is as tough as it gets in League One, but Scunny are in good form and are overpriced for this one. As Chelsea found out last week, being the best team in the division and being at home doesn't guarantee victory against a confident, resilient opponent. Forest do have their off days at home (0 - 0 against Carlisle and 0 - 2 against Oldham) and the away side did the double over their more illustrious opponents last season (DRAW @ 5/2 and AWAY WIN @ 9/2 both Bet365)
Russia v Israel - Israel are a very underrated side, and opponents should be wary of taking them lightly. Having emerged unbeaten from a WC qualifying group that included France and Switzerland, they kicked off Euro qualifying with 2 victories (over Estonia and Andorra). Definitely capable of holding the home side (DRAW @ 5/2 Bet365)
Greece v Norway - After several years of improvement culminating in winning Euro 2004, it looks as though Greece may be on the slide again. They didn't qualify for the WC and may be worth opposing here. Norway's victories in their first two qualifying games, and the re-emergence of Solskjaer suggest they may be set for a revival (AWAY WIN @ 5/2 Coral)
