	GOLD CUP POSSIBLES Saturday’s Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby has all the makings of a real thriller with so many Cheltenham Gold Cup candidates in the line up. However the one they all have to beat is OLLIE MAGERN who won five races last season including the Grade 1 Feltham Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day and the Towton Novices’ Chase at Wetherby in February when he defeated subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner King Harald. He also ran good races in defeat including a fine second to Celestial Gold in the Hennessy at Newbury. A leg injury ruled out a shot at the Gold Cup but he is reportedly in good shape and his trainer Nigel Twiston Davies is enjoying a purple patch at present. OLLIE MAGERN’s ultimate target is the Blue Riband of chasing and the seven-year-old can take a step in the right direction by winning on Saturday.
