WILL BECKHAM BE DENIED!! VC Bet make David Beckham a 6/4 chance not to get his 100th cap, after Fabio Capello left him out of the England squad against Switzerland next week. The firm originally offered Beckham at 12/1 to be denied his 100th cap and according to their spokesman Neal Wilkins they are slightly nervous about the scenario happening. We decided to make a statement of intent with Beckham because we felt certain he would get to the 100th cap milestone. A lot of our clients disagreed with us and snapped up the 12/1 on offer that he wouldnt make it. Needless to say we have a huge liability on the outcome. This could be very painful. The firm now go 1/2 that Beckham will get his 100th cap and 6/4 that he doesnt. The good news is that there was a very decent punt on Beckham to captain England against Switzerland, so that has been some consolation.
